A bearded bon viveur born in Kashmir and the founder of The Western Mountains has been inspiring individuals with his profound learning of outdoors and environment, he has lead different batches in the Indian Himalayas and Nepal. He has taken up adventures to far-ranges of Jammu and Kashmir. His aptitude, information and individual associations with travelers enable us to design ventures which are more raw, rough and audacious, Climbing and Skiing are his fundamental strong point and keeps himself drenched in his enthusiasm for enterprise or what he calls “the pursuit of happiness”. Having over ten years’ involvement in the outdoor industry, he is a standout amongst the most searched out guides at Sonamarg. When he isn’t in the workplace discussing business, he can be found exploring the mountains.
RAHUL RS – Director
All things considered, the person didn’t experience childhood in nature by any stretch of the imagination, born in one of the occupied and populated urban areas of Bangalore. He was just presented to the patio nurseries of the city amid his growing up years, he began having a major interest towards wild from an early age, and this leads him to go around the Western Ghats down south amid his college days. Today, he is an experienced Trip Leader who advocates for solid environmental protection among travelers and led various batches in the Indian Himalayas which incorporates Kashmir, Ladakh, Zanskar, Himachal, Uttarakhand, Sikkim, Bhutan and Furthermore been to The Alps at Europe in Switzerland, Italy, and Austria. He has additionally led many trip batches in the Western Ghats and volunteered for wildlife NGO’s for the animal survey in the tropical forests of Dandeli and Nagarahole down south. He has trained numerous campers with hands-on outdoors and wilderness skills required for the outdoors. ‘Adventure is a way of life’ for him and lives by this motto, he is a certified trip leader from NOLS, wilderness first responder from WMI and a ‘Leave No trace’ mentor. He actively pursues other adventure sports like backcountry Skiing, Kayaking, Cycling, Rock Climbing and is certified Advance open water scuba diver from PADI and never stops exploring.
KHURSHEED WANI – Lead Guide and Finance Head
The scholarly and humble buddy of the group was born in Kashmir, he holds a certificate from Jawahar Institute of Mountaineering and appreciates leading treks in the wild. He has a decent learning of trekking in Kashmir and is knowledgeable of the flora and fauna in the region. He additionally has solid business visionary aptitudes with branding his products and aims to pursue his venture (Waniz Universal Life) to a bigger scale, his other intrigue lies in Robotics and effectively keeps himself refreshed with most recent techno trends.
Riyaz Ahmad Naik – Operations Head
Owner and Managing Director of Sind Guest House at Gagangir was born and brought up in Kashmir.
