The northern district of Kupwara lies close to the international border, it’s nicknamed ‘The crown of Jammu and Kashmir’. It has the most serene valleys of Lolab, Bangus, and Drangyari and not frequented by tourists unlike the other popular hill stations in the valley.
The spectacular views of the unspoiled meadows, an array of wildlife and raw wilderness has a tremendous potential to make it a world-class tourist destination, the locals are warm and welcoming and the never-ending lush green paddy fields is just breathtaking.
Like most parts of the valley people here depend on agriculture. Kupwara is slowly getting popular for its beautiful valleys and many tourists have started to visit the less explored district of northern Kashmir.
